How to get to Burraton House
Directions to Burraton House, Poundbury
(Note: The Parkway has been renamed ‘MIDDLE FARM WAY’.)
From the East/Bournemouth:
Follow the A35 Dorchester Bypass in the direction of Honiton/Bridport. Continue past the Dorchester Football ground. At the next roundabout junction of the A37 and the A35, to the west of Dorchester, take the fourth exit B3150 (signposted Dorchester). At the first mini-roundabout take the third exit onto The Parkway (now called Middle Farm Way, signposted Town Centre). Continue on the B3150. You will have a high bank of grass on your right hand side. Turn right after the Pedestrian crossing into Holmead Walk. You will see a sign for Castle Veterinary Clinic. Turn first left into Burraton Square – Burraton House is on your right, with dedicated parking in Burraton Yard, signposted on your left.
From the West/ Bridport:
Follow the A35 in the direction of Dorchester. At the roundabout junction of the A37 and the A35 take the second exit B3150 (signposted Dorchester). At the first mini-roundabout take the third exit onto The Parkway (now called Middle Farm Way, signposted Town Centre). Continue on the B3150. You will have a high bank of grass on your right hand side. Turn right after the Pedestrian crossing into Holmead Walk. You will see a sign for Castle Veterinary Clinic. Turn first left into Burraton Square – Burraton House is on your right, with dedicated parking in Burraton Yard, signposted on your left.
From Dorchester:
Follow the Bridport Road from the Top of Town roundabout in High West Street, in the direction of Bridport. Go past ‘The Keep’ on your right, the County Hospital on your left. Continue on this road to a mini roundabut with a large square red brick building on your left. Take the first exit at this mini-roundabout into Middlemarsh Street. Continue down Middlemarsh until you come to junction with the village shop and square in front of you, turn right (Elder and Froy estate agents on corner). Continue down Longmoor street until you come to Burraton Square. Burraton House is in front of you.
